Now Booking School Tours for March 2017

Posted on December 28, 2016 at 8:30 PM

We are now accepting school bookings for tours of Kallonen Maple Farm from the week of Monday, March 6, 2017 - Friday March 10, 2017!

The hour long tour will include:

- story circle where your students will hear all about a grandson and a grandpa during syrup season;

- maple taffy sampling right after it's cooled on snow;

- dramatic play where your students get to be a maple syrup farmer;

- tour down the lane to see the sugarbush where we will explain the history and process of collecting sap from the trees;

- a look at the difference between the old-fashioned bucket method and the newer sap lines;

- a tour through the sugar shack to see how we turn the sap into syrup;

- a taste of syrup fresh from the evaporator; and

- a 40ml bottle of syrup(a $3.00 value) to take home.

Bookings are first come first serve. Email us at [email protected] to book your timeslot.

Hi. I am a Kindergarten teacher at Sandhills Public School in Kitchener. We have five Kindergarten classes with about 29 students each. Wondering if you could accommodate us for a tour - probably three classes in the morning and two in the afternoon (or vice versa). Wondering what's the best date for the excursion? We were thinking of March 9 or 10th or perhaps the week after March break (March20 to 24) but we are unsure about the best time for a Sugarbush tour. Would April be better?

Hi, I realize that you are open to booking school tours. Would you be willing to provide the same service for a group of adults?

Good afternoon,

I am writing to inquire if you ever host corporate Team Building events? We are currently exploring options and think it might be fun to bring our staff to a Sugar Shack. I believe we would be a group of about 80 adults who would many be interested in some maple syrup samples, a stroll around, and some delicious food.

Any information you have would be helpful!
Thank you so much.
